Mr. Arun Duggal, Chairman

Arun Duggal is Chairman of Board of Directors of Shriram Capital, Shriram Transport Finance Company, Shriram Properties, Shriram City Union Finance, and Shriram EPC. He is also Chairman of Bellwether Microfinance Fund, which provides equity capital to promising Micro Finance organizations and helps them in capacity building.
Mr. Duggal is also a Senior Advisor to TPG Capital, a major Private Equity firm headquartered in San Francisco and Credit Asia Capital, Singapore. He is an experienced international Banker and has advised companies and financial institutions on Financial Strategy, M&A and Capital Raising. He is the Vice Chairman of International Asset Reconstruction Company and Indian Venture Capital Association. He was erstwhile Chairman of the American Chamber of Commerce, India and was also on the Board of Governors of the National Institute of Bank Management.
He is on the Board of Directors of Jubilant Energy. Netherlands (Chairman Audit Committee), Patni Computers (Chairman, Audit Committee), Fidelity Fund Management, Manipal Acunova, Zuari Industries, Info Edge (Chairman Audit Committee), Dish TV, Mundra Port & SEZ, Hertz (India), Mortice Limited (Singapore) (Chairman of Audit Committee) and Bank of Bhutan. He is a member of the Investment Committee of Axis Private Equity.
Prior to joining Shriram Group, Mr. Duggal had a 26 years career with Bank of America, mostly in the U.S., Hong Kong and Japan. He spent ten years with the New York Corporate Office of Bank of America handling multinational relationships. He has also worked with BA Asia Limited, Hong Kong and HCL Technologies, India.
Mr. Duggal is involved in several initiatives in social and education sectors. He is a Trustee of Centre for Civil Society, New Delhi, which focuses on improving the quality and access of education to students especially for the poor. He teaches a course on Venture Capital & Private Equity at the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad as a visiting Professor.
Mr. Duggal holds an Mechanical Engineering degree from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi and holds a post graduate degree in management from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad.
Mr R.Sridhar, CEO & Managing Director

R.Sridhar is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
He joined Shriram in 1985 and was later promoted as President of the company in 1994. He was co-opted as an Additional Director and appointed as the Managing Director of the company in September 2000 and was re-appointed as the Managing Director in 2005 and 2010.
Mr. Sridhar has over two decades of experience in the financial service sector, especially in commercial vehicle financing. He holds the directorships of Shriram Holdings (Madras) Private Limited and Shriram Chits (Maharashtra) Ltd.
Mr Sridhar is highly regarded in the Indian NBFC space and has built this reputation through an exceptional track record for the transport business of the group over the last 3 decades.He is the recipient of Ernst & Young’s entrepreneur of the year – Manager Award 2011 and Business Achiever Award from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) for the year 2010-2011 constituted by Ministry of Finance, Govt. of India.
Mr. DV Ravi, Managing Director

D V Ravi is the Managing Director of Shriram Capital Ltd, the holding company of Shriram Group’s financial services and Insurance businesses. His areas of expertise in this role include Corporate Strategy, Synergy Creation, Risk Management efforts, Leadership Development and Corporate Finance. He is also on the Board of various companies in the Shriram Group.
Ravi started his career in strategy and finance in 1987 with Karnataka Oil Seeds Federation, Bangalore. He joined the Commercial Vehicle Finance business of the Shriram Group in 1992 as Head of Investment Servicing. Over time, his portfolio grew to include key areas of Corporate Strategy and services, Corporate Finance, Information Technology and Process activities of the Group.
He is also the Non Executive Director and Co-founder of TAKE Solutions Ltd, a global technology solutions and service provider. He has been associated with the company since its inception and has been instrumental in extending the company’s global footprint. He has also spearheaded several successful mergers and acquisitions for TAKE.
Ravi is a commerce graduate from the University of Bangalore and holds a post graduate degree in management from the Institute of Rural Management, Anand (IRMA).
G S Sundararajan

G S Sundararajan is currently Group director, Shriram Group, and Managing Director, Shriram City Union Finance. He joined the Shriram Group as the Managing Director of Shriram Capital Ltd, the Holding Company of Shriram Group's financial services and Insurance businesses across India and overseas.
In his capacity as Group Director, Mr. Sundararajan is a director on the Boards of these subsidiaries and provides oversight in critical areas of Strategic growth opportunities for each of these companies. He is the designated owner for leading the banking initiative for the group which is one of the key value-enhancing forays in the near future for this financial conglomerate.
Prior to this, Mr. Sundararajan was the CEO & Managing Director of Fullerton India Credit Company Ltd. He was an integral part of Temasek' s vision for India in the Banking and Financial Services space that went on to become the fastest growing and largest networked Finance Company in the country.
Mr Sundararajan was also nominated by to the Boards of two Financial Services investments of Temasek in China. Mr Sundar went had an exceptional stint in Citibank where he built the SME and ABF business of the bank across the country.
Mr. Sundararajan holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Coimbatore and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad.
Mr. Puneet Bhatia, TPG Nominee

Puneet Bhatia represents TPG Capital India on the company’s Board. He is Managing Director and Country Head -India for TPG Asia. Prior to joining TPG Asia in April 2002, Mr. Bhatia was Chief Executive, Private Equity Group for GE Capital India (“GE Capital”), where he was responsible for conceptualizing and creating its direct and strategic privateequity investment group.
Prior to this, Mr. Bhatia was with ICICI Bank Limited from 1990 to 1995 in the Project and Corporate Finance & group and thereafter worked as Senior Analyst with Crosby Securities from 1995 to 1996 covering the automobiles and consumer sectors. Mr. Bhatia is a native of and is based in India and currently serves as Director on the Board of Shriram Transport Finance.
As Chief Executive, he handled a portfolio of almost a dozen companies including TCS, Patni Computers, BirlaSoft, Sierra Atlantic, iGate, Indus Software and Rediff. Hewas also responsible for consummating some of GE Capital’s joint ventures in India.
He started his career in Sales with Eicher Mitsubishi in the year 1987 and went on to head the captive finance arm of this company in India. He had a brief stint with GE Capital as Head of Risk for their Transportation business, after which, in the year 1997, he joined Citibank’s SME and ABF business as Head of Risk and Credit.
Mr. Bhatia has a B.Com Honors degree from the Sriram College of Commerce, Delhi and an M.B.A. from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta.
Mr. Heinie Werth, Sanlam Nominee
Heinie Werth joined the Sanlam Group in 1998 and is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Sanlam Emerging Markets. Prior to that he also held the positions of Financial Director: Sanlam Employee Benefits, Senior General Manager: Information Technology (IT), Financial Director: Sanlam Life Insurance Ltd and Chief Executive Officer: Sanlam Developing Markets
Prior to joining Sanlam Heinie was Financial Director of Kelgran Limited and before that Manager Corporate Finance at GencorLimited.
Heinie trained as an accountant and holds a Hons B. (B&A) and MBA both (cum laude) from the University of Stellenbosch. Prior to that he also obtained a B.Acc (cum laude) and Hons B. Acc, also from the University of Stellenbosch. During 2001 he participated in an EDP from the Manchester Business School.
Heinie is a keen traveller, likes to read and is a social golfer. He is married to Maryke and has two daughters, Heike and Eugenie.
